1/4 oz Gold Coin Horse 2014, Lunar Series II
The Lunar II coin series is an impressive collection of gold and silver coins. They were made by the renowned Australian Perth Mint. The Lunar Series coins are made of 99.9% pure silver or 99.99% pure gold.
The Lunar Series II coins come in a variety of sizes. The Lunar silver coins have been produced in sizes between ½ oz and 10 kg. The 500g coins were only produced in the first three years.
The Lunar gold coins are available in sizes of 1/20 oz, 1/10 oz, ¼ oz, ½ oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, 10 oz, 1 kg and a few coins even in 10 kg.
The series was introduced in 2008 as a continuation of the first Lunar series. The special feature of the series is that it is based on the Chinese zodiac signs. According to this cycle, a different animal is assigned to each year and starts all over again every 12 years. The term "lunar" refers to the moon, since the Chinese zodiac is also based on the phases of the moon. One side of the coin shows the animal of the year. On the other side, as with almost all bullion coins from former Commonwealth countries, is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of England.
The Lunar Series II not only delights collectors with its detailed and artistic design, but is also a good investment opportunity. As the gold coins and silver coins are produced by the Perth Mint in limited editions, they will increase in collector value over time. Because the Chinese zodiac plays an important role in Chinese culture, the coins also have cultural value and make nice gifts for friends or family with a special interest in Chinese culture and traditions.

You are guaranteed the price at the time of your order. You will find a summary of your order in your mailbox immediately after placing your order. Also, there is the option to print a summary at the end of the order. We always ask for prompt payment.
After receipt of payment, the items are immediately assembled and packed on camera. Afterwards the dispatch takes place as insured package. We will send you a mail upon receipt of payment. Another mail will be sent to you upon shipment with the shipment number/tracking number. Please check that the shipment is sent directly to you.
Upon receipt of the shipment, check the integrity of the packaging. In case of discrepancies take photos and notify us. The shipment is insured, so you do not bear any risk of loss and theft.
GVS is a global leader in high security storage. If you already have a storage number, you will be asked to specify it before checkout. A new storage contract can also be opened at any time. Silver, Platinum and Palladium can also be stored in a duty-free warehouse. In this case, your purchase is exempt of VAT.
