Die 2 oz Silbermünze VALKYRIE ist der, wie ihr Name schon verrät, der Valkyrie gewidmet – einer der bekanntesten Figuren der nordischen Mythologie. In den alten Sagen gelten die Walküren als göttliche Kriegerinnen und Dienerinnen Odins. Ihre Aufgabe war es, die tapfersten gefallenen Krieger vom Schlachtfeld nach Walhall zu geleiten, wo sie sich auf die letzte große Schlacht der Götter vorbereiten sollten.
Das Motiv der Münze zeigt eine Walküre in voller Rüstung auf ihrem Pferd. Mit Helm, Speer und Schild verkörpert sie Stärke, Mut und Entschlossenheit. Die detailreiche Darstellung bringt die Dynamik der Szene besonders gut zur Geltung. Einzelne Elemente des Motivs wurden selektiv vergoldet, wodurch wichtige Details hervorgehoben werden und ein starker Kontrast zum Hintergrund entsteht. Das Antique Finish verleiht der Münze zusätzlich eine antike, reliefartige Wirkung und unterstreicht die Tiefe des Designs.
Die Münze ist aus 2 Unzen Feinsilber mit einem Feingehalt von 999/1000 geprägt und hat einen Nennwert von 5 Dollar (Niue). Mit einer weltweiten Auflage von nur 500 Exemplaren zählt diese Ausgabe zu den streng limitierten Sammlermünzen. Geliefert wird die Münze in einer hochwertigen Präsentationsbox inklusive Echtheitszertifikat (Certificate of Authenticity).
